In the world of business,especially in the network marketing business, top earners perfect the skill of becoming problem solvers. One should not be strictly focused on aggressively recruiting a person into their business. But one would be wise to establish an initial relationship and gain the confidence of the person being recruited. You don’t want to linger too long on this aspect, for your goal after all is to sponsor a suitable candidate into your business. You want to present yourself as a person of value. You have the answer to their problem, an answer that will set them on a clear pathway to the lifestyle they have been searching for.
Think about it, if someone approached you and said I’ve got this great opportunity in ABC, you better get in now while its just getting in high gear. Be honest, your first reaction is not only going to be skeptical, but you will likely experience a knee jerk like recoil. A no is building up on the inside because you don’t want to be sold anything. However, should that person approached a potential recruit with a question like ” do you ever have any problems with managing your time during the week?” And most of the time their response is yes. Then they would be ready with an initial call to action such as, Well, I may be able to help you with that, take my card and give me a call. Another introduction question could be, “Do you wish you could spend more time with your kids”. What you are doin is simply establishing yourself as a person of value who can help with a solution to their problems.
As a problem solver, you want to always be asking questions. Your questions should be consistently directed towards determining the needs of your potential recruits. Once the need has been determined, you want to ask other questions that will give you the answer to their needs. You could outright ask them what are their needs; or you might ask something like ” what has happened recently in your life that has you open to an alternative opportunity?” Through your questioning, the potential recruit will give you the solution to their problem or need, thereby establishing you as a person of value to them. The closing question clearly then is if they are serious about the solution that they supplied for you, now is the time for action. Hey! time to go to work, happy problem solving.
